Australian Wool Innovation
Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) is the wool industry’s research, development (R&D) and marketing organisation. AWI’s role is to enhance profitability, international competitiveness and sustainability of the industry, and help increase demand for Australian wool. It seeks to achieve this goal through targeted investment in:
- on-farm R&D in areas such as health and welfare, wool harvesting, eco-credentials, and education
- off-farm R&D and product development in areas such as delivery of technical services, fibre advocacy, as well as product development in new areas for wool including urban, mothers and babies and apparel care
- marketing in areas such as fibre marketing, product promotion and fibre advocacy or education.
AWI’s head office is in Sydney, with offices located in key markets including China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
