Cotton Research and Development Corporation
The Cotton Research and Development Corporation (CRDC) invests in research, development and extension (RD&E) projects for the Australian cotton industry. Our purpose is to support the performance of the cotton industry, helping to increase both the productivity and profitability of our growers.
Over the past 24 years, more than $200 million has been co-invested in cotton R&D by growers and the Australian Government. It has been estimated that the return on investment for growers is $7 in benefits for every $1 invested – resulting in a $1.4 billion benefit back to growers on their farms.
In 2014-15, Australia’s 1,250 cotton growers and the Australian Government will co-invest $24 million through CRDC into RD&E in five key priority areas: farmers, industry, customers, people and performance.
