Innovation Skills

Cooperative Venture for Capacity Building (CVCB)
The CVCB was established in 2001 by R&D corporations to enhance capacity building in rural industries in Australia.
Its goal is to instigate and support learning by farmer and rural communities. Through research and development initiatives initiated by the CV, our rural communities will be placed in a position to prosper and grow as Australian rural industry adapts successfully to global change. We aim to give all primary producers the opportunity and skills to obtain the information and education needed to embrace innovation.

East Kimberley Pastoral and Cultural Development Project
The project builds on research in the Ord-Bonaparte Program (OBP), particularly projects in the Regional Resource Futures and Aboriginal Management and Planning for Country subprograms. It identifies options for implementing environmentally, culturally and economically sustainable natural resource management outcomes at the property scale in the East Kimberley, with a particular emphasis on Indigenous pastoral lands.
It also identifies institutional and policy impediments to, and opportunities for, developing sustainable natural resource management pastoral management practices in the East Kimberley , and more generally in northern Australia.
